Back to school means it’s the perfect time to freshen up your school supplies! Markers? Check. Crayons? Check. Glue stick? Check. Eraser? Uh oh…
If you have a curious pet (or a pet at all) you know they like to poke their nose around. They want to see everything, play with everything, and worst of all, lick and eat everything.
So this year, instead of dumping your backpack on the floor and letting it all fall out, zip it up and put it out of reach. School supplies, especially small objects like paperclips and pen caps, are chocking hazards for your pets.
The most common supplies that are hazardous to your pet’s health:
- Paperclips
- Pens and pen caps
- Pencils
- Markers
- Crayons
- Bouncy balls
- Action figures/small dolls
- Coins
- Glue sticks/bottled glue
- Erasers
Make sure to check your stuff before putting it away and keep your pets safe this season!
